Terms of Use
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Build Faith is made by Daniel Gileadi ("we"). By using Build Faith, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and why.
Build Faith is in beta
- Things will change, and some things will break.
- We back up every day and keep a history of every page. Even so, keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
- Build Faith is free during the beta. If we ever charge for anything, we'll tell you first, and you won't pay for anything you didn't choose.
Your account
- You need an email address you can receive mail at. Each account is for one person.
- You must be at least 13, or older if your country requires it, to use Build Faith.
- Keep access to your email safe, because it's the key to your account. If you think someone else got in, sign them out in Settings · Account and tell us.
Your pages are yours
You own everything you write and add to Build Faith.
To run Build Faith, we need your permission to store, copy, sync, back up and show your pages to you on your devices.
We use that permission only to run Build Faith. It ends when you delete your pages, or when you delete your account. Copies left in our backups expire within 14 days.
What you add
Only add things you have the right to use. That includes books and files in your library: they're for your own reading and study.
Don't use Build Faith to:
- break the law or harm other people
- store or spread malware or spam
- get into accounts or data that aren't yours
- overload, probe or get around Build Faith's limits or security
Scripture
The scripture and old texts in Build Faith are in the public domain: the King James Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, Lectures on Faith, the 1867 Inspired Version, R. H. Charles’s 1913 translations of Jubilees and 1 Enoch, and Webster’s 1828 dictionary. Chapter summaries and footnotes from modern editions aren’t included. The Hebrew and Greek word data comes from Tyndale House, Cambridge (STEPBible data, CC BY 4.0), changed for this app. Each book’s About page names its source.
Build Faith is independent and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Our part
- We work hard to keep your pages safe and Build Faith running: syncing, page history and daily encrypted backups.
- We can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Build Faith is provided as is.
Ending
- You can leave anytime. Delete your account in Settings · Account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts other people or Build Faith at risk. We'll tell you why and give you a chance to take your pages, unless the law or someone's safety stops us.
- If we ever shut Build Faith down, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice to take your pages with you.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows:
- We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months or $50.
Some places don't allow these limits. Where they don't, they apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using Build Faith after that, you're agreeing to the new terms.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA. If you live in the EU or UK, you also keep the protections of your own country's laws.
